The Science Library Renovations and Additions project transformed the Key School’s Upper School Library into a modern, functional learning space. Completed in 2023, the project reflects the school’s commitment to fostering an innovative learning environment while preserving its unique community-centric character. By fostering curiosity and innovation, the library will become a central hub for academic growth. The project encompasses renovations to 3,850 SF of existing space, enclosing approximately 540 SF, and adding a 230 SF entry vestibule. The scope included architectural updates and critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system enhancements to support the evolving needs of students and faculty. This transformation enhances sustainability and energy efficiency, reflecting the school’s commitment to environmental responsibility and cementing its role as a leader in independent education. Cap Ex served as the Owner’s Representative, guiding the project from planning through completion. Services included budget and schedule management, contractor coordination, design oversight, and ensuring construction progress met quality and timeline goals. Cap Ex also managed inspections, operational training, and final documentation, delivering a streamlined and successful project outcome.
